High Water Bill? Water coming up from the floor? Wet Spots in the House or Yard? Kitec pipe? Leak Detection When Other Local Plumbers Can't Find It? Low water pressure? Roots in the lines?
When you've got a water leak, such as a slab leak, a wall leak, a ceiling leak a mystery leak or a yard leak including possible tree roots invading your pipes, you want it found and fixed, fast. Regular local plumbers will start busting holes in your walls and floors on an exploratory mission and still not even find the leak. You need SPECIALISTS like us on the job for plumbing leak detection in Austin, Round Rock, Jarrell and the entire metro area.
The Plumbinator is your one-stop-shop to find AND fix the leak, without tearing up your house or yard. We have many different pieces of expensive, specialized leak location equipment that regular plumbers don't have. These enable us to see, hear and smell through the walls and floors to pinpoint the source of the leak quickly and accurately, so we can perform minimally invasive "keyhole surgery". Our estimates are often lower than other plumbers because we have the knowledge to be able to re-route your pipes around the leak, rather than tearing out all the old pipe.
Step 1: Make an appointment for us to bring our high-tech equipment out to pinpoint the source of the leak by calling 512-786-1771 or clicking the button below. Water leak detection and location costs $550 for the first 90 minutes and $300 per hour after that. We find most plumbing leaks within the first 90 mins.
Step 2: Our plumber will show you the location of the leak, discuss your options for repair or reroute of the pipes, and write you an estimate to fix the leak. The estimate will be a "per job" price, not an hourly rate. It is separate from the leak detection hourly fee above.
Step 3: If you accept the price on the estimate, the leak can usually be rerouted through the walls and/or attic with new pipe so we can get you back to normal on that same day. We don't normally bust up slabs, we kill the old pipe and leave it dead in the slab.
Most local plumbers will not try to repair Kitec pipe, since it's recalled and the parts are hard to find, they'll just give you a huge estimate to fully replace. We'll do leak detection and when we find the leak, WE WILL REPAIR KITEC.
We have a source for parts so we can repair Kitec in Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Cedar Park, Jarrell and surrounding areas.

Pressure reducing valves in the yard perform two functions: they automatically reduce the high incoming water pressure from the city main and they help maintain a set pressure in the home of 45-75 lbs., ensuring that the home piping and appliances operate under a safe, moderate, but satisfactory pressure.
High water pressure, which is anything above 75 lbs., can be damaging to the walls of plumbing pipes and cause leaking water heaters, hammering or leaking water pipes, dripping faucets, and dishwasher and clothes washer noise and breakdown.
